Approx. 39,000T of ‘clay rich’ fill material was imported to site and used to construct a 300mm thick floor and 3.5m high perimeter bund.

Construction elements included:

• Geocomposite strip drain system;
• Geosynthetic clay liner (GCL); Geomembrane (LLDPE);
• Cushion textile;
• Bridging and protection layers;
• Uniaxial geogrid;
• Leachate collection pipe system in drainage agreement; and
• Gas collection pipe system and engineered fill protection layer
