Stuart Landfill Construction of Cell 3B & 3C

The Stuart Waste Facility is located off the Bruce Highway in Stuart, Townsville. The site operates under an Environmental Authority Licence. Working at an operational landfill facility, Mendi successfully constructed the new Cell’s 3B and 3C, with a new lined cell area of nearly 50,000m2, access road and external drainage channels. The construction of the cells, access road and perimeter drains required approximately 250,000 tonne of materials incorporated and imported into the site. Project completion with within program for the Council and will enable waste operations to proceed.
